Port casks from Portugal add layers of spice and sweet jammy notes to our ex-bourbon matured ‘field to bottle’ whisky. Filey Bay Port Finish Batch #1 spent its first maturation in ex-Bourbon casks (filled mid 2017) before being re-racked into fresh ex-Ruby port casks in late 2020.

Bright and light, Ruby Port uses more fresh fruit than the heavier richer better-known Tawny, and the casks are notoriously hard to source. This release is both smaller and longer than our other ‘finished’ whiskies; made up from only 10 casks and with a secondary maturation of two years, there are only 3300 bottles available.

How do I know if this whisky is for me?

Buying online makes it tricky to try – we get that! Each product page has tasting notes and illustrations to help you understand the Filey Bay flavour profiles.
