A long and careful process created this Filey Bay Special Release. Uniquely one-of-a-kind, we barrel-aged Wold Top Brewery’s award-winning Marmalade Porter in ex-Filey Bay whisky casks… (and then we used those ex-Porter Casks to mature our whisky). This beer is that result!

Rip Curl is fruity, rich and malty, it’s a delicious porter with a very distinctive nature.

Rip Curl: the next Ebb & Flow

Over the past five years, we’ve worked closely with Wold Top Brewery (our sister brewery, based on our family farm) to barrel-aged beers and mature whisky in those casks, creating the Ebb & Flow series of beers. The results are even better than we’d ever hoped! From a dark beer specifically created for our first barrel-aged project, through to our award-winning Filey Bay IPA Finish and matching Barrel Wave beer, we disgorge and refill immediately… and you can really taste the difference.
